On the Course with Earth Day
What a more perfect way to celebrate the beautiful California landscape than to spend a day at the golf course. California golf courses are breathtaking. They are green spaces that can be enjoyed by young and old alike. And in Los Angeles, County Golf Courses are maintained with recycled water! I will be spending Saturday morning with a group of women from the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County. I've organized a golf clinic for them that will introduce them to the basic fundamentals of golf. For these busy women - it's a way for them to relieve some stress, enjoy a morning of camaraderie surrounded by nature, and learn a valuable tool they can use to enhance their professional and personal lives. As an avid golfer I am doing my part to insure that the beautiful golf course green-spaces are accessible to everyone! That's why I founded the Latina Golfers Association. (latinagolfers.com) Just as important is that golf courses celebrate our natural resources and not abuse them. A goal of conscious golfers like myself is that every golf course in California use recycled water to keep them looking so beautiful. Find out how golf courses are doing their part to become eco-friendly at http://www.thegolfchannel.com/gcextra/?select=443&select2=15751. On this Earth Day - let's do our part in the community - and then head to the golf course to enjoy the beautiful landscape by practicing your putting and then relax by enjoying a cocktail overlooking the 18th hole!
